Daniel (clarinet)
Brian (piano)

Brian Hughes is an established composer and accompanist and was Head of Opera Music Staff at the Royal Northern College of Music for many years.

Miriam and Daniel completed their respective courses at the Royal Northern College of Music and the Royal College of Music in 2004 both securing a Distinction for their final recital performances.

The ensemble offers a varied programme of solos, duets and trios, and endeavours to make each one of their concerts a special event so that the area or country in which they perform colours their choice of programme.
Together with popular show-stoppers such as “Flight of the Bumble Bee” and music from Carmen, they include in their programme new music which they are passionate to promote, especially works that demonstrate a new side to their instruments and which are always popular with audiences.

Their programmes embrace the old and the new, the familiar and the unknown, with the emphasis always on presenting a vibrant and stimulating experience for the audience.
